That is a very small frag of hammer coral. Usually they give you more of a base. This looks like a cut top. Hope you did not pay too much.

That is a pretty high cut. On my hammers that is right around where live tissue extends down to.

Had a similar experience with Corals Anonymous. Ordered two torch corals, an indo gold and a dragon soul. Both arrived with zero flesh on their skeletons. That aside I'm not even sure if they sent me the correct corals. The indo gold is a deep brown and the dragon soul is green. I hope that they will survive and color up to how their photos represent.
