I've put two bottles of purple in a few months apart, and still don't see anything. Calc and alk are good.

Not to judge, but isn't this stuff kind of like snake oil?
I thought so, but without 'seasoning' rock, I did get growth within 6 weeks with it. Didn't have any cuc with it and imported live rock from LFS didn't have it either. I'll back the ARC reef folks, it's legit.

That’s a signal for death. The algae is releasing the zooxanthelle. It can recover if put back in the water or you fix whatever parameter is killing it. But the hot pink is signs that it’s on its way out. Kinda cool but not desirable if you want it to stick around.

It only happens to snails that go outside of the water. I suspect the coralline gets burned by the lights and then regrows after. Still looks cool though. I don't really care if the coralline on snails gets zapped lol.

If your tank's parameters are within the target range, growing coralline is as easy as rubbing 2 coralline encrusted preferably empty hermit crab shells (or other shell/rubble) together in front of a powerhead. About 2 weeks later you will start to see tiny purple dots of coralline growing all over your tank. Use shells with different types/colors of coralline if that's your thing.

No. It has nothing to do with lighting. It’ll happen when lights are off too. It’s expelling it’s pigment because it’s dying.
