You must have done something really wrong. Goniopora/flower pot coral don't have sweeper tentacles. It must have mutated due to bio hazard exposure.

No sweeper tentacles, but that's what it's doing.

Quoted from Encyclopedia of Life:(eol.org)

"Flowerpot corals, despite their delicate names, are generally aggressive animals (3). They are capable of developing elongated 'sweeper' polyps, like the sweeper tentacles of other corals, which can inflict severe tissue damage on a coral within their reach."

Thanks for sharing. I am just kidding by the way, I do have a few flower pots corals with extra long polyp extension as well, but not as long as his that is why I am jealous :D

It's cool [emoji41]better you than me! I think they look cool but too high-maintenance for me. I've been tempted to try a red one since they are supposed to be easier to keep.

I had a big green one and a gigantic sun coral colony at the same time in my first tank and that was enough to make me swear them off for good [emoji23]

Red gonio should be easier than green one. I tried alveopora and I swear that creature hates me. I can't keep it inflated whereas my gonios has been around for more than 3 years.

Light intensity will affect PE as well, that is the reason why I always check lighting requirement before I glue any coral permanently.

Edit: Sabellafella did mentioned light, so i just intensified it for him :D
Haha i actually edited "or light" in there a few minutes after i posted that.
But absolutely agree!
