I think this most similar to the bat coronavirus. The outbreak took off in the fish market, but there are patients that had the virus prior to that outbreak.

I have a strange theory. Children have lately been spared. They don’t even get sick. BBC had an article about it and it’s baffling. But in Hong Kong where we both live, we have contained it easily. Schools have been closed ever since they got wind of it. We have less than a 100 cases. I think because children show no symptoms or just mild symptoms, they are the ones spreading it. Hide yo kids!!!!

I wouldnt worry about the fish. Saltwater should kill the virus. But the packaging they come in, id wonder about it.

Since I have read on a few different reputable sites that it is only transferable to other Mammals, I only take precautions when handling or feeding my dogs, whales and dolphins. I will continue to feed and handle my fish tanks as normal until I hear different.
