Why doesn't your fridge, your freezer, the heater in your tank only run once a day? Because it is required to run more often to work properly. The Trident is no different. You can choose how many times to test your tank by not buying a Trident, it's as simple as that. The trident has to run 4 times a day based on the reagents and water in the lines in order to work properly and accurately. Don't like it, don't buy one but it's not going to change because you don't want to test that often. It has a minimum number of times to run and a minimum cost per month.
That is probably the dumbest explanation I've seen. Seriously?
Each of these devices allows you to dial in the temperature controlling how often it runs but you've missed that.
Thank god Neptune didnt make my freezer or I'd have to open the door 4 times a day for it to function properly.
I'll wait for @Terance for a normal explanation.

I was doing too much guessing. And I also said that I thought you were giving the information you could at this time. My comments related to another poster who suggested that after calibration it could be 2 weeks before using the device - in addition to the maintenance time. Perhaps I misunderstood - when I tried to look at the video - unfortunately it wouldn't stream probably because it was being viewed too many times simultaneously.
There are a very small amount of people that I always see in Neptune threads, that hate Neptune products. My only reason for saying what I said is why do you look at Neptune pages if you hate them so much, if not to troll. I'm not quoting them, because they know who they are.
