Back on February 10th I ordered a male crosshatch, male blue throat and Aussie Harlequin Tusk. They were then shopped for and picked individually from wholesalers in LA. They then went though a minimum 30 day QT. Then COVID happened! The retailer prefers shipping via Delta cargo, but Delta cargo has an embargo on live animal transport which is still ongoing! So my fish are still happy and healthy sitting in ther QT tanks in beautiful Southern California! Below is an update picture of my hostage fish!!!

Beautiful fish.

My 95 year old mother-in-law has been held in QT in her nursing facility in SoCal for over 2 1/2 months now. Nobody has been able to see her or visit for 2 1/2 months. :(

Try to get her a tablet or something to FaceTime her!

Beautiful fish, at least they'll be super clean when you finally get them!

Thanks. Yes. We've done Zoom twice, but she just doesn't understand the technology, the delay in signal, speaking, listening. It just confused her. :(

Yeah my gma is the same. Nothing better than visiting in person, but I understand why they're doing it. Any idea when it'll let up?

Awe man.
No idea when that will happen.

I completely understand. I work in the long term care industry here in Indiana!

They sure will be. Poor guy is loosing a little more of his profit margin every day. He has been performing husbandry on them for over three months!

Here in Indiana family still can’t enter the facility. However they can arrange a visit just outside the building maintaining six feet apart and all concerned being masked and supervised by nursing facility staff.

Awesome fish! I feel for you man but other carriers are shipping and have been shipping. I would think this is on the retailer to find other means. Has he not shipped anything at all in 3 months? Seems weird to me.

I have asked him to consider Southwest cargo as I know they are shipping. Also UPS cause my guy is great and always here by 9:30. He does do Fed Ex but says the crosshatch would get too banged up???

Have had many fish shipped Fed Ex and never had a problem.
I also have used Fed Ex many times! Just got a fish yesterday from fedex no problem. My local fed ex has always proven very reliable. Really considering pushing the issue and asking him to use Fed Ex.

I would start pushing the issue for sure. Something doesn’t seem right here and if it was me I would be worried about a scam. Have you used these guys before, or know someone that has?

This retailer is well known and endorsed by many prominent people in the hobby. I can discuss who it is via PM. We did communicate last night and he is suppose to communicate with me nonbank day and figure out a solution.

Fish look good .... curious what happens if one dies before you take possession? I assume that’s on the retailer?

If they would perish under his care he is responsible for the replacement/cost. That is detailed on his website.

Beautiful triggers!!! I hope you are able to get them soon! Is the red tail currently living in that tiny tank or did they just move it there for pictures?
