That looks like an actual fireworm, as opposed to a bristleworm. I think they are atlantic species, do you have any florida rock?

Good choice to throw it away, fireworms I think are actual coral predators.

No florida rock. It must have hitchhiked on a the coral that came from Tonga.

Who puts money in their mouth? I wash my hands every time I handle any currency. I placed it next to him for reference, he crawled right on it. That 20 is in the store right now. They have no idea

I dont see the telltale red.tufts at the base of its spines...but best to remove just in case ....

Bristles are agreed good to have...fireworms not so much...

It’s widely known, they are just creepy. And fireworms suck because their bristles flake off and get stuck in you like fiber glass splinters.
