Can metronidazole be added with cupramine? Is it safe?
Yes, you can combine the two. You want to be careful of a bacterial bloom (cloudy water) and do a water change if that happens. Increase O2 while combining meds.
Its a new fish, so just a normal qt proceedure. Its a flame dart gobyI wouldn't add anything to a copper treatment. Copper is poisonous enough by itself. What are you trying to treat? That will help a lot in determining what to do next. Have you already started copper treatment? Are you at therapeutic levels? I assume this is a QT or hospital tank you are treating in; what are the inhabitants of the tank? Some fish don't take well to copper at all, so it's important to know what kind of fish you are treating and what you are treating them for.

Its eating well and poop is brown. Feeding hikari marine s, frozen mysis/lobster eggs/roti/cyclops, nls algae max and thera a. Cupranime dose was divided into seven days instead of 2 doses.I wouldn't dose metro prophylactically; except for species where the likelihood of brook (clownfish) or uronema (chromis) is elevated.
If you are using CP you won't ever need to dose metro; only food soak if you suspect internal parasites.
Hey, the fish has started scratching at the glass bottom. What can be the reason? The gills look a bit pink. But its eating well.I wouldn't dose metro prophylactically; except for species where the likelihood of brook (clownfish) or uronema (chromis) is elevated.

Whats secondary infection?Pink gills...have you checked your ammonia? Could be a secondary infection as well...

Looking at the photos, what do u think? Iv been killing more fishes in qt, was bettwr of not qting the fishes. If it has a parasite like flukes or ich in its gills. Flashing is a symptom of those

I transfered it into my new dt which only has a ywg. Its breathing heavily, its 12am here, hope she gets ok by morning. But i guess im givingup on qt new fishes, rather just leave it all on luck like before.Unfortunately in the pictures it's hard to tell what's on the glass vs. the fish.
Does it have any spots or other behavior symptoms? Breathing hard, yawning, swimming into the flow, etc?

Is there a chance of Enteric redmouth disease???If the fish is scratching and the gills look pink, then that could mean either a parasite or worm is irritating the gills. (I wouldn't expect to see flashing if it were ammonia burn - only redness around the gills.)
Heavy breathing is another symptom of parasites or worms inside the gills.
First thing to do is always check ammonia - just in case. If that shows zero, perform a FW dip to check for flukes. If no flukes show, assume parasites and treat with copper or CP.

Is it possible that my new tank has some bacterial problem? Coz all fishes get affected after a week of adding, however the ywg is super healthy, but when it opens its mouth, its red on the inside. Do they have red mouth on the inside? Can it be flukes resistant? Coz its been through all hell, but always recovers absolutely fine. Or is it possibke that the fishes that im buying are cynide caught so they are ok for a week then they giveup coz their immune system has become weak?Unlikely, that's primarily a coldwater bacterial disease. That's not to say your QT isn't infected with a similar warm water variant. Might be time to break the QT down and sterilize it.
