Isnt metro and prazi ok to dose in dt? As prazi i have dosed in my reef tank, nothing ever happened, and metroplex by seachem can be mixed with food and fed.

Once added i can add carbon to remove meds and let the tank be inverts free for a month. Would that work?

Metroplex is safe to feed in the food when bound with Focus.

You can try to remove any and all inverts and corals before dosing the medication. It's still a risk to returning inverts and your bioload (not to mention all the pods in the system), but yes, you could do that. you'll have to watch for ammonia the whole time and likely be prepared to do water changes.

Just a few gusses:

1) my tank was a freshwater planted tank, in which i had used dirt method ( garden soil and manure mixed, capped with river gravels) after whivh i washed and converted to the current sw tank. There was little bit of mud that has got stuck inside the silicone and cannot be removed. Can it have some sort of bad bacteria or fungus? ( i remember i had a skin issue called scabies when i had worked with the garden soil without any gloves)

2) the salt i used was cheap Blue Treasure - Synthetic sea salt (can it have some sort of bad bacteria)

3) The dry rocks i had got had some fungus on it, i just washed it under tap water, rinsed them and used. The sand was normal grinded cruched coral dry sand 2mm size, i wahsed that too under tap water and used it.

Can any of the above cud have been the cause of the possible unknown bacteria or fungul infection or some pest.

The dry rocks from fellow hobbyists who had spare 50kg, as he had reduce his setup due to space issue at his house, and other 20kg were from some one who had left the hobby few years back, but still had some left in his garage.

Oh, but the fire goby is still scratching, so plannin to treat them both and go fallow for 6 weeks. The ywg sometimes swims like crazy (hopps at surface of water).

I have ordered for general cure, but will be coming on saturday. Is it ok if i start with furan 2 tomorow?

What is the furan2 for? We were concerned that the firefish has flukes or ich. Furan2 will be useless with either of those. If you do the freshwater dip, then you'll know if you have flukes. If so, then you treat wtih prazipro or something like general cure (whichever you are able to get). If no flukes show up in the freshwater dip, then treat for ich.

I don't know what the white stuff on your powerhead is at all. That would be a question for the hitchikers part of the forum.

Thanks, since tomorrow is a water change day for my 42g, im gona do a large one and add that water to qt. And transfer the fishes.

Furan2 is for bacterial gill infection, incase its suffering from that. Im sure its not ich though.

General cure is coming on saturday.

However the fire goby still rubbs its gills on sand? Im confused. The api general cure has yet not come.. im not comfortable with cupramine, as it stressed my goby a bit. CP had killed 2 of my clowns, so worried... However the firefish still eats readily and swims right in the middle spot of the tank.

I see what might be redness inside the mouth, though I'm not sure if it's a bad thing. If the watchman is still eating and acting normally then I don't think you need to worry overmuch. There's not much you can do with either of them until you get some meds in.

Monday we have a public holiday, so general cure will be coming on tuesday. however i do have furan2 if u think that might work.
