I've already had a little cyano, which I found odd. ,must be the phtyto. I have 23x rotation in the tank per hour

Welcome to R2R. You've come to the right place:) BTW we love pictures:D

Got 2 small fish last night (clown and bicolor blenny). The clown wanted to jump out. Now have heat issues because I put the lid on. Need a screen but my front has bowed edges. Any thoughts? Was thinking of getting some wire and matching it to bend to my tank then use screen. Was going to use hardware store nylon screen for short term, then get some white 1/8" screen for the lid to make a permanent fix. I added an air pump and places the pump itself outside to try and cool the tank. Trying to bring down from 80 degrees

Very nice set up! Yes when I started my tank unfortunately I had a few carpet jumpers. :( I purchased a screen kit from BRS but as you said yours is bowfront and I'm not sure if they have one that would work. If you look under forums there is a nano section with lots of great threads and I believe there is a cube forum. Good luck and looking forward to seeing more.:)

80 degrees a big problem?
No, my fluctuates between 78-80. This summer mine went up to 82 and I was really worried. Posted a thread here and chiller and fans were recommended. I opted to buy a clip in fan.

Taking off my lid would solve my problem I think but I have a "hyper clown". Need a screen for the little guy but having bowed front corners is an issue.

My aerator I added 1 hr ago which has lowered the tank by 1 degree. Might be enough, but my lights aren't ramped yet

Not dosing the Ca 2 part in full. half and half w/ the purple up. Trying to get coraline and the purple up has magnesium. Bad idea?

It is a fine idea if you have tested for magnesium and you found it is low.

Only dose what you test for and find low, you are looking for correct levels not elevated levels.:)

yeah, I need a salifert magnesium test. stick to water changes and 2 part?

I think it came together nicely. I might get a custom piece of stainless formed to the exact dimensions of my glass, then put screen around it (1/8" from BRS vs. my hardware store setup). Still having heat issues. my heater never kicks on anymore and tank is 78, which is great BUT when I use the wood stove here in the near future it will be a problem. Need some sort of chiller. Leaning towards the Chill Solutions CSXC-1, but maybe a conventional chiller? unsure. two 850 Hydor power aheads, along with two 1200 Maxijets (skimmer, return) create a lot of heat in a 12 gallon!
