current orbit marine pro

T5 is 2 each of the following: 10k and acentic blue. I want to say 1800+, was suggested I go to 20k bulbs. I thought it was the meter at 1st, that's why I asked him to measure under my t5s.
Kentucky's pretty small right? can you pop over to Jets?:D

I have a orbit marine pro I am experimenting with and it is brighter than a AquaTop Saltwater LED which kept softies ok. I thought shrooms expand when under lite and look great all large and puffed up?

I hope it goes well didn't want to spend more.

i have the 48" orbit marine pro and my corals have been doing great and i have a deep tank (25"). my lights hit a max of 60% blues and 70% whites and i have no complaints. i have a duncan 15" down and it's gone from 2 heads to 6 heads in about 3 months. my zoas are doing great at varying depths (14" to 18"). i have a jason fox jack o lantern and the sand and he's over growing a 1.5" frag disc. i bought a blue/green shroom that was 1/2" and now it's probably close to 3". growth has been good. i have nothing to compare it to since it's my first light though:)

Guess I could always run the t 5s with it.
yea probably have to..
Keep an eye out for a used orbit, if you have room for a second. Ebay or local reef boards. (people seem to get rid of them. hmmm wonder why.)
Its probably a third of the light of the 2 MH.

A second one might be better due to more importantly coverage. I have to do the something with Kessil's as well.

this is the data sheet.
In advertising theory is close. But Duke and reefwiser's test say different.

One of those readings below 12 inches had a zero. There wouldn't be zero lighting at 12 inches so that was a bogus measurement.

@jetmaker I think you're going to want two Pro models for a 75. Hanging them or putting them on their feet?

I'd believe Current's recommendation but I think it is a bit meager for your situation, and dependent on the fixture resting on its legs vs being suspended.

As was mentioned, your old lights were significantly brighter - corals probably won't be happy with a big drop in lighting. Seems they handle an increase in lighting better than a decrease in lighting.

I ran the non pro 36" version x2 for a year when my tank was at my office. Grew lps great and had decent growth from my monti. You should be good down to about 18". Since I moved the tank home I don't use them any more. PM me if you feel you need another fixture.
