I picked up the 2100gph kit today with the controller, hub, remote control, 2100 gph powerhead and a second 2100 gph powerhead for the opposing side of the tank. All I can say is WOW are they powerful!!! I played with them a bit tonight. I have one at each end of the tank so 72” apart at 6” deep and when I hit 75% power at frequency 10 I had water splashing out of the top of the tank. I swear I had a wave 4-5” tall!!!
I settled at 30% power and frequency 6 in surge mode and I have a great flow pattern that looks like under ocean videos.
For 1/3 the price of a Maxspect xf250 or echotech m-40 I have more flow then my 240 tank can handle. Wonder if the wife will allow me to upgrade to a 800 or larger! Lol
If your looking to get the performance at 1/3 the cost a Maxspect or Ecotech I highly recommend them. They have 3 sizes 660,1050, & 2100 gph per wave pump. You can pick up the full kit and a second pump for just over $200 on sale or $275 normal price. Oh and the controller and hub allows you to control 3 pump in sync or independent. You will need 1 full pump kit and 1 or 2 extra pumps depending on what kind of flow your after. Again 2 pumps is more then my 240 gallon DT can handle with my corals and rock work.
