I picked up the 2100gph kit today with the controller, hub, remote control, 2100 gph powerhead and a second 2100 gph powerhead for the opposing side of the tank. All I can say is WOW are they powerful!!! I played with them a bit tonight. I have one at each end of the tank so 72” apart at 6” deep and when I hit 75% power at frequency 10 I had water splashing out of the top of the tank. I swear I had a wave 4-5” tall!!!
I settled at 30% power and frequency 6 in surge mode and I have a great flow pattern that looks like under ocean videos.
For 1/3 the price of a Maxspect xf250 or echotech m-40 I have more flow then my 240 tank can handle. Wonder if the wife will allow me to upgrade to a 800 or larger! Lol
If your looking to get the performance at 1/3 the cost a Maxspect or Ecotech I highly recommend them. They have 3 sizes 660,1050, & 2100 gph per wave pump. You can pick up the full kit and a second pump for just over $200 on sale or $275 normal price. Oh and the controller and hub allows you to control 3 pump in sync or independent. You will need 1 full pump kit and 1 or 2 extra pumps depending on what kind of flow your after. Again 2 pumps is more then my 240 gallon DT can handle with my corals and rock work.

They have been on my tank for 18 hours now and I can say they are dead silent. It’s so nice to not listen to the click click sound of the Gen 3 hydors anymore!

Fyi, you can hook up 3 pumps, but only channels 1 and 2 can be on wave mode.

Which function do you use? Wave or gyre? What duration?

Wave at 30% on frequency 6

one 660GPH on 100% at back of tank facing forward. The 2100 perpendicular to it output going right to left set for wave and @50%

I have 2 - 660’s on my 29g. I have them in gyre mode so they ramp up and down instead of all at once. It made it easier to control flow and get less wave action on the surface

But these are a great powerhead. I also have them hooked to the orbit ic loop lights, so I can control the lights and Power heads all from one remote. They just came out with an optional Bluetooth controller, you can have the return pump, light, and power heads all linked up.

1 of the 2100 gph on each end will definitely work in my opinion. Mine is 6 feet by 2.5 feet by 2 feet tall and I can not run mine at 75% without splashing water out the top of my tank with then 6” deep. I just found amazon has the pump, controller, and hub kit for $101 with free 2 day shipping so I’m ordering 2 more kits for spares/ future build.

Both magnets are safe to submerge, correct? I have them on the back wall and the retaining magnets will be under water. I know the Tunze are waterproof

Yes they are. 1 magnet is on the back glass out of the water and one built into the powerhead in the water for each one.

Yes, in a normal setup. On my 130, the "sump" is in the back so the outside magnets are under the water.

I just looked at mine and it appears the magnet is coated just like the one attached to the powerhead in the tank. Unfortunately BRS doesn’t carry them but I’m sure another vender on here does and could verify it.

Where can you get one? They have been saying they had bluetooth and it was on every box. I even seen a video of it but have never been able to find one for sale.

Just went Currents website and the apps not ready yet for iPhones but it’s up and running for android phones.

Just one pump though
Yes just 1 pump, controller, hub, remote, and power supply. A second pump, power supply, and cables is $101 from them.
