Cyanobacteria

Siphon cyano back, increase flow, evaluate your light photoperiod and spectrum, use chemiclean AS DIRECTED! no shortcuts. (Increase aeration and turn off lights) Big water changes after treatment. Prepare for a few livestock losses.

When dealing with cyanobacteria, I would never recommend a chemical product such as Dick Boyd's ChemiClean, though a great product which does work amazing(best for FOWLRs?), I found it, though weeks later, in reef tanks, causes other algaes to grow in its place which are uglier and more difficult to remove, though all these other algaes did subside with time, but not fast enough to my liking. Was the cure worse than the disease? The above was my observation.
