Your ammonia is supposed to be zero in your tank!

True lol but it's what the bacteria consumes . It's supposed to be 0 as long as bacteria is consuming it ? Will the bacteria live inside the tank the way it is.. What kinds of bins are good for water change ? I did a small one yesterday , and had a hard time with Python syphon because to get water back into tank the bin was lower then tank.

You still have a decent amount of ammonia in your tank per test result. Where did you get the idea that you need ammonia for a healthy tank? or to continue the cycle....?

From reading too much stuff on Internet! Saying to continue to dose ammonia in small amounts or feed tank when there's no fish in it. In the photo the test result may look a hint of green but it truly is yellow!

I just setup a new 24g nano and went ahead and added Bio-Spira in with my sand evenhthough I had some live rock to hopefully speed my cycle. May have been a waste of money but others have had good success with it. You can check out my process so far here: Nano Build

With the bio-spira , it was about 10 days after. It's not an instant thing . Nitrites finally dropped after 10 days. Yesterday they read 1.0ppm and today it read 0. It is certainly not instant but I believe it speeds it up . Read reviews on the stuff. It's the reason I ordered it. Yesterday was the first water change I have performed and it was like 15 gallons. I did it to help with nitratesz
