Cycle question..

Cloudiness from the bottom looking up.. can see some of the particles...it's smoky looking.. but I also can see some larger particles...

Pods have exploded and are all over glass and rocks... diatoms covering rocks and bottom as well... the cloudiness is confusing to me...

So I am thinking I can hook up a cannister filter with floss and run it hard on display.. if the water clears or mostly clears it's likely a particle from my rock or other issue? If it doesn't clear it's bacterial??? Am I right in my thinking?

I'm just trying to eliminate particles from rock etc..
