I'd also stop using Tap Water. I have RO/DI at the house if you want to stop by and pick up some.

Brandon, I appreciate the offer, I may take you up on that. I know tap water is a bad thing, but I'm the type to do it all out when I do something. I'm researching some inline water filters, but I'm thinking a whole house set up. If I buy one, might as well get some good drinking and cooking water out of it too. Just to clarify, I do have a skimmer. Which is pulling about 1/2" of dark green crap out each day. I've been cleaning it daily because of the high amount of nitrates. I am going to remove the foam filters tonight, and leave off, as I see no use for them with my current set up. My return pump is positioned so getting stuff in it is highly unlikely.

I have made another modification to my sump. I have added in some Chaetomorpha to my sump, with a full spectrum light running reverse hours of my DT lights. Which, btw, 5th day gave me best quote on it, I bought it online from AquaCon and got burned. Did not get what I thought I was getting.

Ok, a whole house RO/DI unit costs around $2700. So does anyone have a recommendation on an RO/DI unit? I'd prefer one I can put inline with a faucet I'm going to install in my garage, not one that sites on a counter, and then has to be put away.

Brown Diatom almost gone, left over with some green hair algae. Nitrates are slowly going down, things are looking much better. Have to go pick up some more salt, but will do a large water change this weekend. Hopefully, I will be able to get my levels good enough to put something alive in there, lol.
Still looking for a quality RO/DI filter system if anyone has any suggestions.

Not sure if you were planning on joining the club, but we have a group by we are about to place with bulk reef supply. We typically get 5-10% off depending on what it is you are looking for.

Also Air,Water, Ice is a good sponsor of ours... check the forums they post on here from time to time with specials, etc.

Tank is finally done with acting up, and levels are stabalized. I've started adding some clean up crew, 20 blue legged, 3 Cerith, and 2 Turbos. I'm hoping soon I'll be ready to add a fish or 2. Now I just gotta resist the urge to buy everything, lol.

Dont resist! its no fun ressisting! LOL
