He priced it like that somone offered 2 polyps of legit PH for one polyp of the DA

Eh, like I said in the other thread, not that impressed. Definitely not impressed with the price tag. This just seems like more ettempts at hyping a "new" coral to make it extra marketable to the high end collectors.

Maybe it's just not my type.

+1

The lure with PH's is that not many people had seen polyps like them before.
Same with the yellow jackets.

Now I think most of the collectors realize that ZOA's come in all kinds of crazy nice designs if you don't mind the small polyp size.

I'm not a big zoa fan since they are small - but....
I just got some Goblins Fire's from Unique Corals for a nice price. They are the BOMB!

That price is out there just to see if someone will pay, so they can frag them out and sell them.

Yeah, but that's like the GAP (maybe American Eagle) trying to be true religion.:xd:

But it's SUPER DUPER rare..:xd:

LOL

Somebody saw the pattern and thought, hey, that's kinda like the PH, let's try to capitalize on the pattern and make even MORE money than the PH. One-upmanship has become the name of the game, but I ain't playing on that one.

It really bugs me how so many people lately seem to be using the sales ploy of coming on posting pics to share, while directing people to the sales page.

Tell you what, sell me 4 polyps for $60+ shipping, and I'll take some decent pictures after they've colored up in my system, and then I'll do an eval on them and IF they are all that, then I'll make them an LE and you can get maybe like $50/polyp.

Noobreef, I suppose I should apologize on behalf of most of us lol, you posted this in the middle of a heated R2R debate on coral pricing and ethics. The zoas are nice and have some nice color, but the vendor is clearly trying to capitalize on the PH craze, even though these appear to be just another deepwater morph IMO. If he finds someone that will pay that much, then "to each his own" I suppose.

I feel as if if he can get that much he should price them that much, its only stock he will sit on if he cant sell. I mean i realy like them alot but not 700 alot. I mean most i think i would pay is like 75 for A polyp
