d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

Hello,
Your tank and pics are stunning, and I do hope you decide to write an article or create a video to help us new photo buffs.
Nitro

Plus a mixture of a little GHA. I thought at first it looked like turf algae (the little pustules) but looking at it closer, @Lasse is right - Ulva
I'm not sure if that's GHA or some kind of turf. I'm leaning towards the latter based on the texture and how it grows, kind of in little clumps.
But with the power of the light, anything is possible. lol

Looks like ulva to me. It might migrate to the DT eventually. My tangs love it.

Even your algae is nice...

The turf I am referring to looks like small fingers, gel-like, kinda squishy. Nothing like hair algae. I got it on my scrubber once for a few weeks, weird stuff...
Ah, ok... this stuff is flat and leaf shaped. Does seem to be some sort of ulva. I'll pull a piece and take a pic out of the water later.

Even your algae is nice...
haha, thanks. We'll see where this goes! It might get ugly. ;) But as long as it's doing it's job, that's ok!

amazing tank ' what do u dose ?
Thanks, this is a Triton tank so i'm dosing the Triton Base Elements.

I am looking into getting the Marshydro light for my fuge. I seen you said yours is 300w but the only one I could find says 132w. Is this the light you use? https://www.amazon.com/MarsHydro-Mars300-Spectrum-Hydroponic-Greenhouse/dp/B00XC3LBI2
Yes, this is the 300. It uses 60 of the 5w leds, but actual power draw is more around 135w.

I am absolutely floored by your tank and pictures...like others have said before, both are so inspiring. Thank you for sharing!

P.S. Love your fish selection! :)

So since ya'll were wondering about my P04, i figured I'd finally check it.
I have the Hanna ULR phosphorous checker... it was flashing 200, which means it's at least .61. LOL! :D
And just so you can't blame the checker... I double checked it with the Red Sea Pro test kit.
Came back with the same result.

So there ya go! :)

@d2mini - Are you running ULN? :)

When I'm in my old aquarium - after 5 years of nagging from a lot of people - finally analyzed my phosphate - concentration was about 1.5 ppm :)

Sincerely Lasse

Wow! hahahaha, i guess mine is ULN. :D

The first post of my build thread "Lasses Dream Build" show a video of my old tank – a couple of days after the reading of 1.5 ppm PO4. It was later confirmed with a Triton test

Lasse -

Do you have a link to your build thread? For some reason when I go to your profile it says you have 0 posts. Thanks.

Been doing some water changes to get my high magnesium (bad batch of salt) down, as well as my high extremely high p04.
Started out around 1.3 ppm p04 and down to .3 now. Mag is down to 1520 and that was before the last water change. Need to test it again.
All current stats are here...
