d2mini's "Essential Focus" Mixed Reef Build

awesome tank.... your display give me a very good idea of what I want for my next IM 25 lagoon

Today's FTS...

I didn't see it posted before, but how much LR did you get from TBS? I'm looking at this exact size Elos and I'm curious how big of "The Package" you ordered. Would you get less or more next time?

Your FTS is beautiful! You do Elos a service by really showing off their aquariums. Have you had the opportunity to compare your Elos with a Reefer or a custom manufacturer? I'm curious to know if you'd make your next tank Elos. I think you're a good person to ask about it since you use a LifeReef and that kind of illustrates how you aren't pulled by the nose on name brands and bells and whistles.

Thanks!

That tank looks breathtaking. You truely have a piece of living art in your home. It is truly making me consider a Elos as my Reef tank instead of my ADA aquarium I was thinking of using for my reef build.

Thanks everyone! :)

I don't recall exactly, but I usually get the package for the tank size I have, but request less rock... like around 20-25% less.
So I might say, give me the 120 package but the amount of rock from the 90g.
You still might end up with a little extra but that gives you more to choose from.
Then any leftovers can go in your sump or sold to a local reefer.

The details and quality are a notch above Red Sea and the tiny little overflow is pretty remarkable. This coming from a guy who was a big proponent of large coast-t0-coast overflows.
That said, not everyone can manage to throw that much cash at an aquarium. I only could because I sold off a much larger system and had the funds from that.
In which case the Red Sea tanks are a VERY nice alternative.
But they do not have the deeper dimension that Elos has.

Algae -go -round! Me like. Man Man Man, you have taken this reefing thing to a new level, not only do we have to learn about all the sundry aspect of keeping our corals and tanks beautiful, now we feel compelled by this exhibition of magnificent photo and vediogophy to do the same. Keep up the good work!

haha, thanks! :)

Wow....that fuge is just awesome.
Thank you :)

I'll post a new pic of it in a week.

how many gph or flowing through the fuge to get it to tumble like that.
Wish I knew.
There's no easy way for me to figure it out.
The drain in the fuge is below the water line, as is both returns in the display tank, one at the bottom.
