The shelves/entertainment center was built on site when the previous owner was remodeling the house.

haha, yeah... this morning it was starting to slow. I bet by tomorrow it will be large enough that it won't be rotating much at all anymore.

Yes, my intensity is 75% and PAR is around the mid-high 200's.
Remember, I only have a few small sps frags and the tank is not even two months old yet, so I can't make any determination yet as far as lighting is concerned.

dennis, what happened to the fuge spray bar you had made? I didn't see it after the cleaning. decide it wasn't necessary?

It was created to A) help reduce turbulence from the high flow coming down from the overflow and B) to spin me some cheato.

But after running it for a while it didn't seem to be necessary. Using just the elbow like I am now I'm able to direct the flow more.

Very cool, not dorky at all! If it is then I'm a dork too.

Forgive me for asking as I'm certain it's already been discussed, but I must have missed it. Is this macro in a fuge type thing to help reduce nutrient levels? It's awesome!

Yes.
A fast grower like Chaetomorpha is VERY effective at nutrient reduction.

Refugium Progress Update:

This pic was taken 9 days ago.
The Chaeto had been in for 3 days at this point, and this was the day I added the additional macros.

And here is as of last night, 9 days later.

And a couple closeups...

I'd say that Mars Hydro 300 led is working out pretty well.
