I meant to edit that pic and circle it. It’s a sand flounder. Blends in perfectly but if you look close you can make out it’s eyes on top and a fin on the side.

Was the current a killer? Last time we dove it the first half of the dive was work...the second half was easy.

The reef around Ambergris is not as good as the ones around the smaller islands like Half Moon.

Yeah, that current was Narley, almost crawled on sea floor., nice and shallow though.

Were staying in San Pedro, so did around 10 local dives, caye caulker was good. Going to lighthouse tomorrow.

Our Dive Guide was spearing lion fish, actually pushing the shark out of the way to get it, then fed it to them.
They learn to fallow the person with the spear.
We just ate some for dinner @ Karabras

Small world, I just got back from a trip to Caye Caulker on the 4th and had an awesome time snorkeling and fishing. The Tarpon are quite something. Some locals told us that area is also the entrance to an underwater cave system beneath the Caye.

Nice pictures and videos! Would love a vacation like this...sadly we've discovered my husband gets extreme motion sickness, so no more cruises or snorkeling family vacations for me. We do fly to places and he does try to accommodate me by finding places where I can snorkel off the beach when possible.

Yeah there was a few of those on our boat. I felt bad for them.
