Dark Spot on fish?

But then again they are probably just thinking about food so they are behaving in the moment.

This is really very true. Same thing goes for fish suspected of being coral nippers. If you're sitting there watching them, they may seem totally uninterested in the corals, thinking some mysis will be coming soon, but when you're out of sight and they get bored...

Setting up an IP cam in front of your tank can be very revealing! :)

With the new lights he may now be able to see his reflection on the glass.
Yeah he's seeing his reflection, thinking it's another wrasse, and not happy about it.

Spot appears to be gone now. Darn fish is still going at the glass like crazy.

Here is a video of the tank. Everyone hanging out. Only one that is still shy is the diamond Goby. I forgot to mention earlier the wrasse seems to have stopped trying to fight himself in the glass for the past couple of days.

Awesome, they look happy n healthy!! Tank+lights look good as well.

Thanks @Why-Me I think it's looking better and better each day. Hopefully after the move(s) everything stabilizes and I can get some corals. Right now I'm just happy all fish are doing well and haven't had any major issues/deaths. I thank you and everyone who has helped me so far, as for sure I would have had issues without this forum.

Puffers can be pesky when the lights go out...had 1 and it would nibble at my clown trigger tail when the trigger slept

Hmm, I'll have to keep an eye on it. I know it sleeps on the rocks at lights out but maybe it is getting up and trying to snack on my Clown fish tails (like lobster tail but less meat?). I still plan on putting a cam near the tank but not until after I move now.

Almost... I'm a little confused on the best salt to go with going forward. I think I'm making too much of this but going to post a thread in the beginners thread here in a bit.
Yes way overthinking the salt, best advice is pick a salt that gives you parameters you want and stick with it. It's all about stability.
I believe the top 2 choices would be IO regular/reef crystal & Red Sea blue/black bucket

^------Price per gallon

^------Switching salts

^-----Red Sea salts

^-----Tropic Marin salts

^-------HW Marine Mix salts

^------Mixing both Red Sea salts together

^------Switching from IO to Red Sea Coral Pro

Take all this info given with a grain of.....well nevermind

Great videos. I particularly liked the switching salts one. Reminds me when I got my dog taste of the wild. Then when the bag ran out we switched him to whatever dog food we grabbed. He seems fine to me either way.
