Agreed.I have had CITR Red Dragon under 600+ PAR and it thrives, but it gets monochrome and loses the whiteish-blue tips. I have also seen it do OK under 150 PAR. 200-300 seems to be a sweet spot for growth and the color with the tips being different than the body.
I will also point out that there are literally a dozen different types of "Red Dragon" that come in from AQ land... they are close, but not the same as CITR.... not as red and not all of them get the whiteish/blueish tips.
This stuff grows like crazy for me. I give away and sell a ton of it and about half of the people kill it. It is not a super-easy SPS, but it sure can take off when it is happy.
Boy was I surprised when I first did the research on the tri colored vileda. It comes from everywhere indo and Aussie and different depths.
