I broke down my tank a couple months back when I found pests on my acros. I did a full qt, dip, dip and more dip. It was a good chance to throw a couple of the corals I was undecided upon in the trash.

Lowered my lights and it bleached...(older pic, it grew to just under 7"x4")
this is how it looks now on the mend, some orange is returning to the edges...
I will grow it all back over the next year. I have a feeding strategy.

I've unfortunately got some to add to this thread... I'm diggin for pics...
Bottom in this (old) pic is my Tyree Bali Tricolor I've had for 4 years... just had to chop up the colony and I *might* be able to save a frag or two.
Cool mariculture soli... was starting to color up real bright like my slimer then CRASH... down it went?!?

Austin what happened to the bali tricolor? why did you have to chop it up?
Fortunately, I haven't lost too many, but this one will always irritate me. It just melted away and nothing I did made a difference. Glad I have the photos, but looking at them is just salt in the wound.
I've had a couple SPS issues as of late... between adding the new fish and NPS coral, a bunch more food has been going into the tank (ie, levels went through the roof)... added some GFO and levels went through the floor (many showed signs of bleaching)... and after both of those incidents (over a two week period mind you) + planning for the new tank I've fallen behind a bit on some husbandry. Stupid things... like for example I should've fragged the Bali tricolor up 3-4 days before I did. I kept waiting thinking, "it'll turn back around," WRONG! (unfortunately)
Also lost some frags:
-Oregon tort
-shades of fall
-roscoes blue
-Aquarium City red milli colony (almost fist size)
Pretty crappy, but between waiting on the new tank and all the other stuff going on in life right now, I wasn't that upset... can't wait for the new tank, I need some new drive in this hobby!
