Debating a new Tank

Wow thats awesome! So to be successful all I would need to do is have live rock, good flow, and do water changes every week and that should be ok?
But what if I dont do the water changes every week? Then I should I get the AquaClear filter and the extra stuff for it?
It really is that simple! Nutrient export like water changes is very important. I recommend 25% and no more than 30% weekly. If you skip a week, check no3 and po4. Or do two small water changes that following week. Your mechanical filtration can make up for water change loss. But don't forget, water changes are to replenish trace elements and things like calcium, alk, magnesium. Also to help buffer pH.

Thanks So Much Cant Wait To Get Started!!!!! Sorry about all the questions but for the rock, Since live rock will be my main source I dont wanna have to deal with harmful hitchhikers or anything like that (I know its probably normal) So would to recommend using half Dry rock and half Live Rock?

That is a different ball game. You have Live rock, dry live rock and dry rock.

$$$ Live rock = ready to go. Expensive

$$ Dry live rock = needs to be cured for 3 months in separate bin. Not as Expensive

$ Dry rock = no life. Need bacteria seeded. You can seed live rock or use bio-spira. Cycling is different too. Cheap

For your first tank, i recommend live rock. There are things to learn. But maybe best to get 50/50 dry rock/live rock

You could even dose the tank with bio-spira to put a colony of bacteria in right away, but I recommend you do the cycle instead just to be safe...
I have a stash of thT in the fridge lol part of the reason i am looking to start amother tank. Biospira just speeds up the entire cycle . Took about 11 days both tanks i cycled. Had to dose ammonia , ans finally it was able to take ammonia and nitrites down to 0 within 12-24 hours. It really does work . I have thay and dr tims in fridge.
