So my nano tank hunt I think has been thoroughly researched and considering price, size, value, quality, reviews, recommendations etc I think the $200 tank only Nuvo 20 is perfect for me and I'll have my fish transferred $200 later!

So I had someone offer me a biocube with extras for a great price but my LFS took
One in today knowing I was looking and I think the "go to" nano tank will no longer be the biocube. Unless they update it, power compacts? I mean LEDs are dirt cheap, it's the engineering and nice design that costs so much. So hopefully the biocube will be updated but for $199 to start out and have a functioning tank that looks really awesome and I can put on an existing stand, and to boot it has an open top so I can use the new led fixtures I got, probably only need one. I'm excited because the tank has a lot of upgrade options and boy do we reefers love something new. I'm thinking maybe one or two AI Primes or one Hydra26.

I love the look of it too. And have heard nothing but positive things. And although smaller does mean more difficult managing parameters it does mean cheaper upgrades!

So if anyone's has any reason why these two should not become a reefing match made in heaven, speak now or forever see my posts about my Nuvo 20!

I also love the look of the design. Very sleek and modern:

And this is me taken 10 years in the future in my awesome office with my awesome Nuvo 20!

Following. My dream tank is currently the nuvo 3o so I'm interested to hear what folks have to say about these tanks.

I took the baskets out and filled chambers with live rock rubble. I have enough room to still run carbon or what have you as well. Also added a second pump.... One for each return head and the stronger one flows through my UV sterilizer before returning. In addition I got those heads that spin. Lastly I am running an AI Prime on to of the led units that came with it. You do need to get more hose to run independent pumps

I've had the Nuvo 20 setup for about 4 months and am very happy with it. Any questions please feel free to ask. What are you planning on keeping?

I haven't thought too much into stocking it now, my Grade A Davincci Clown Pair is my reasoning for staying in the hobby while in school. I notice I nice hippo in there. I'm so partial to tangs I love them, I also have had the worlds worst ich luck with them! Murphy's law of tangs. How long do you imagine a baby hippo can stay in a Nuvo 20? I have a 72 bow front all plumbed and and dumped and ready to once I'm done finishing up school. Maybe a nice watchman pistol pair?

All of your tanks look phenomenal, I started the video and then decided it needed to be watched on the iPad and then I started it and got distracted but I was blown away at how beautiful your tank looks. It looks so much larger than 20 Gallons!

Thanks for all the input guys it is really appreciated ! Biocube is for N00bs. Nuvo is the fresh flow!!

Any consensus on the best light set up? I love the look of the lights that you can get for an extra 200 but that's way expensive for really not a lot. I was thinking maybe two Ai Primes or a Hydra 26

Here is my Nuvo 20. I already upgraded to a 150 gallon tank and was debating turning this into my frag tank or using my 65 gallon as a frag tank to many decisions

Prime is 200 but with it

Defiantly ditch the stock lights I ran them for 4 days and the one on the right side of the photo ended up 12" under water.

I'm downgrading as I am finishing up my last term of college and setting up shop in my friends' living room. And then to URI for degree 2. Moving from 55 to 72 bow front last time with only one "non reefer" friend to help. So I want something somewhat "portable" in the fishtank sense. You do t happen to live in CT Or RI? Lol

If I did I would hook you up. I am in Reno Nv. I would be more than happy to ship it. What are they selling for there?

For $200 you get just the tank they ditch the lights for you. I went cheap buying led lights that you see at a lot of shows and conferences the infamous reefbay special $150 for 2 fixtures at 165W each. I mean yeah I'd like two Hydra 52s but if I did that with everything I'd have a Ferrari and a Ducati and an empty bank acct lol

Yeah the decisions. Out here for 599 you get the lights tank skimmer and stand.

Yeah I left work to finish my degree while I'm still 25 and realized working full time and school fun time will result in you failing at one or both, or doing one class at a time and getting a 4 year degree in like 27 years!

So for my budget...I know the owner of Rhode Islands biggest custom aquarium installed and nicest retail store as far as high end its like a display of different rooms in a home with different tank set ups in the front and although most of his employees have their marine bio degrees he knows I know my stuff and he knows my passion. If I can make even $10 and work part time 4 days a week in the Disney land of an adult reefer I will be on could 9.

So for $200 I can be up and running and add things as I go, it's really an amazing deal.

I would jump on this deal it's a screaming price. Just need lights. I would look at these my brother has them on his tank and his coral is doing amazing

I always wanted one for the thunderstorm effect haha, they're only like 46 watts. They have a pro version now. The two fixtures I got are kick ace in that they cover an area easily of 48 to 60" and are fully controllable as far as percent and the blues have their own channel and control. I may return them as I don't need lights for the 72 anymore and they came in like a week ago. That $150 is $50 away from my Nuvo 20 at my front door.....decisions
