I've had the Nuvo 20 setup for about 4 months and am very happy with it. Any questions please feel free to ask. What are you planning on keeping?![]()
I haven't thought too much into stocking it now, my Grade A Davincci Clown Pair is my reasoning for staying in the hobby while in school. I notice I nice hippo in there. I'm so partial to tangs I love them, I also have had the worlds worst ich luck with them! Murphy's law of tangs. How long do you imagine a baby hippo can stay in a Nuvo 20? I have a 72 bow front all plumbed and and dumped and ready to once I'm done finishing up school. Maybe a nice watchman pistol pair?
All of your tanks look phenomenal, I started the video and then decided it needed to be watched on the iPad and then I started it and got distracted but I was blown away at how beautiful your tank looks. It looks so much larger than 20 Gallons!
Thanks for all the input guys it is really appreciated ! Biocube is for N00bs. Nuvo is the fresh flow!!
I was waiting for a comment on the tang lol. He was the size of a quarter at the lfs and my 7 yr old fell in love. No issues at all so far besides the Midas blenny picking on him a bit. He's doubled + in size and looks great. If my next tank isn't ready by the time he's about 5" I'll give him to a friend.
For lighting I put a Radion 30w Pro and an MP10 for extra flow run on an Apex. Just got the Apex Dos but it's still in the box. The rest is stock Nuvo equipment. Left chamber is filter floss with carbon under it. Next is the skimmer then open for the return. Have GFO running in the Nuvo Reactor in the next. In the right chamber I have a small fuge with cheato and filter floss on top.
The equipment is overboard for a 20 but plan on using it for the next tank.
Good luck! You won't be dissappointed with the Nuvo 20
