Got myself a misbar clown as an ocellaris clownfish and under white light he looks just fine

But under the blues he looks...

blue spotted.

Is it ich that is just hard to see under white lighting or something else

Can't see it myself in these pics, but if it was ich, my inclination would be that it would be more visible in the white than the actinics. If he's in qt, may not hurt to give a treatment, though. Ich meds in my experience tend to not be too stressful on the fish. If he does have it, it seems to be a mild case since it's not visible on the photos. Is it just a few spots or a full on fuzziness?

If you can get some better or close white pics it would help. You should see if with the whites, especially on the orange. Are there any like salt like things that you can see?

It's true that actinics will show parasites better sometimes - velvet especially and perhaps brook, but I agree we need better photos in the whites more close up and not blurry to help determine. It could be nothing at all.

Can you get better pictures? Make them bigger as well so we can see them? As twilliard mentioned ick would be visible. The other badies could be more visible in the blues, but we want white pictures.

Can you also tell us any symptoms he is showing? Heavy breathing, swimming into the flow of a power head, being reclusive, lack of appetite, flashing, scratching against sand or rocks, yawning, head twitching? Things like that.

Now that i see him this morning he definitely has ich [emoji53]

Still blurry but it's there unfortunately

So if it is velvet what type of treatment am I looking at. Ich I've worked with in the past, but not velvet

I'm not seeing ich spots but I possibly see velvet
It looks like it may be velvet but with brook so common in clowns and some similarities in different stages of the parasites could you post a few more photos?

CP or copper is the proper treatment for ich or velvet, brook is a bit trickier

Still hard, more flash photos? Full size would help too

Hopefully video will work and get the exposure needed. If not then I'm sorry but I'm not great with photographing aquatic life
