Hello! I am looking for a more affordable place to buy the RODI color Chang resin. I found it some on eBay but it doesn’t say if It can be used in an aquarium... not sure if that makes any difference or if they are all the same. Where Do you
Guys buy yours? I use it a lot. I think the BRS one is too expensive. let me know please.
thanks

If you go through a lot of it then you probably need to have separate cation and anion resin chambers. That way you will only need to replace the anion which will be cheaper in the long run.

Have you looked your municipal water supply report? It is available to the public. I am thinking that maybe you are using a regular carbon block to filter out chloramines, and that won't work. If your city water does use chloramines as a disinfectant, then you will want to get the BRS universal carbon block.

I go thru a lot. I am spending so much on this...

Alright I'll throw the standard questions out there...

what RODI system do you have?
Do you know what your PSI and TDS readings are?
Are you on well or city water?
Do you know if you're dealing with Chlorine or Chloramines?

I use a 4 stage rodi
80psi.
When I change the resin the TDS reads 0.
I never check for chlorine or chloramines.
I use one bottle of resin per 40g.
By the time the ro water is full. The rodi is not 0 tds anymore

How old is the system?

Do you know if your city uses chloramines or chlorine?
How often do you switch out your carbon blocks?

How long has this issue been going on?

I don’t know if the city uses chloramines or chlorine.
I change every 4 to 6 months. But even when they are new, nothing changes.
Its been going on for years 5 + years.
I am so done now!

On your TDS meter can you switch the display over to see what the TDS coming into your unit is? Looks like it's setup to measure what's coming into the unit prefilters and then what your product water is...
