Diatoms or cyano

Vid won’t work for some reason

Only sure way to tell is with a microscope - based on the photo I'd say diatoms. How long has your tank been running?

Tank has been up for 2 years.

I’ll watch them. I have my parameters from last night and they were all fine per other posters.

IME diatoms aren't something to stress over, they're usually just consuming excess silicates in the tank. Just need to figure out where the silicates are coming from. Once that is addressed they'll start fading away.

Did you add any new sand or rocks or anything?
Nope. All the same. Used distilled water and just got reef crystals from instant ocean. I did have chaeto die on me in tank so maybe that did something

Only thing I can think of is the distilled I got or instant ocean reef crystals.

Vote for Diatoms
Low nutrients will allow diatoms to flourish, also dinos tend to get bubbles when the lights are on due to photosynthesis. If your cheato died off that may well have been a lack of nutrients also. Id check PO4 and NO3 and go from there. Frozen food cubes are notorious for PO4 in the water that is frozen with the food. Id thaw a cube a day in the tank to feed. Should clear on up.

My PO4 was .0-.25 and no3 was 10 last night

I feed food cubes every other day currently

Sorry but not all dinos thrive in low nutrients and don’t get bubbles. Mine didn’t. And I assure you 20ppm of nitrates and .15ppm of phosphates is nowhere near low ;)
