It’s a room that’s supposed to have a breakfast table, and it’s open on two sides. Opposite the tank is a large sliding patio door that lets in sunlight even with the blinds closed.

The sunlight drowns out the tank light as as far as “ambient room light” goes. In the day time and afternoons. At night, that whole area is light blue. It’s my night light so I can get to my kitchen to make late night coffee or get snacks

I run a reefbreeders photon, factory mounts, about 8-9” off the tank.
Blue, royal blue, violet 30-35%
Red 5%
Green 5%
White 3-5% as I have some acantho bleaching and I’m trying to get them to recover. Normally white is around 10%

Nothing crazy here. No light bars. Don’t have my Violet or blues on 120% or anything

I've found several online vendors do that nonsense. Display a beautiful coral pic, and turns out to be miniscule size, or not even close to match the pic. Complain to the vendor but never hear back. So i never order from them again. I do give poor ratings, if matters at all. Wish others have ethics and validate what they are selling. Soooo frustrating in this hobby! Especially how expensive it is in all regards. Thanks for listening to my vent!

My biggest issue with torches is I have to doctor the photo. The orange filter pulls blue out. So blue tips turn into bland teal. That said, if you look overhead under blues, youll see the torch as it would be pictured.

If your selling a torch, and i put it under my blues, it should look like your advertised photo. There is 0 rationale or excuse for any other situation to play out.

The OPs situation is criminal, theft by deception and fraudulent advertisement. The vendor should be named, shamed, and barred from R2R IMO.

Oof. I dunno maybe i jumped to conclusions. Blue LEDs are blue LEDs. Seems like a generic indo torch was recieved and a pretty bright yellow torch advertised from my seat. Not sure theres "help" aside from ensuring the advertised product ooks like the product shipped to the consumer.

The nail in the coffin is the fact advertised photo shows solid color tentacles, whereas recieved product is hardly 1/3rd.

I don't see what's so hard about taking a photo under 14k type white and one under the blue/orange filter for comparison. It would take me all of about 3 minutes to do this with my LED's.

There are pure yellow banana torches that look fantastic under white lighting. I've seen one in person and they are waaaay more than $250........... more like $450
