A very sad morning.. my Bluethroat Trigger jumped out the tank and died. [emoji22]

It was so unexpected that I just couldn't believe it. I really liked him, he had an awesome personality.

Nice shots! My wife got the S6 right before the S7 came out. Lol. Supposed to be waterproof... dunk that sucker in the tank and let's get some killer Samsung macros!

A couple things:

- I hadn't realized my lighting schedule was so long. It was running a total of 13 hours. I changed it to a total 10 hours, with 8 hours of day light.

Speaking of, I found another flaw in my system: Flow. I have two Tunzes, a 6095 and a 6105. They were set at about 40% and 30% respectively. That was waaaay too low. Now they are set to Max and 80%. What a difference.. I can't believe I missed that too. Oi!

I too just changed my lighting schedule. I was running 13, now 12. I may trim another hour off, not sure yet. There is a gradual ramp and each end and the last hour is just a smidgen of actinic.

Wow, talk about timing! I have been a bit out these last few months, and I apologize for not updating. I have surgery on my foot in January, but the bone was not healing. I ended up having another surgery July 8th, and had a cast put on about two weeks ago. It's been a miserable time, and my tank did surprisingly well considering it all.

The tank is looking pretty good now, but instead of all being Monti's, I've added two large softies.. a green finger leather and a baby yellow leather. My clams became victims to pyramid snails, with the Blue Maxima being my biggest heartbreak.

My filtration is a bit different, and as soon as this cast comes off I'll finish cleaning it all up, and complete it. As soon as I get this done, I'll post an update.. hopefully around Aug 18th, the day my cast comes off. I've bought the parts and have the plan set.

Some other things :

- I am trying out AF's Component dosing (1, 2, and 3).
- I still carbon dose, but with Prodibio only.
- I'm using a large reactor with about 4-5L of Matrix, it's currently in a basket in my sump.
- I am still using BRS large particle carbon.
- I just replaced my T5 lamps with 4xB+, 2xP+, and 2xC+
- I no longer use filter socks, I instead vacuum out my sump once a month.
- I changed into doing about one water change a month instead of weekly.

Looking forward to mid August, when this silly cast comes off!
