is that even the right term?

I just received a pink smoothie digi and plan on adding 2-3 other color morphs as my easy to keep colored sticks.... ;)

looking forward to seeing your pics...

Thanks for sharing...

montipora digitata :)

Heres my red, i do have a green, purple, and a superman(very small) but dont have pics. My purple is really coloring up fast since i moved it up and blasted it with light.

cool.. good to know there's a bunch of colors for these guys.. :)

so far, I'm very attracted to the Red, SuperMan, Sunrise digis... :D :D :D

come on guys don't make me post mine lol... j/k

Here's my superman digitata under a moonlight.

I have 1/4" frag on a plug and two other frags, one is spreading out more and the other one is going up, it's got two/three branches. I'll see if I can't get some decent pics. It's rather difficult to maintain the blue in most tanks, for instance Chad's just turned kind of whitish. I'll admit that it's not as blue as the superman monti (encrusting) but it is blue.

Anyone have pics of a sunrise digitata? I'd never even heard of that...I might consider trading the 1/4" frag for a tiny piece ;)

My lighting is fairly white, I'd say relatively close to 10k. When I bought it it was under 20k and was MUCH richer in color.

This is my sunrise? The longer I have it the more green it gets, I have a frag that is about 2-3" now and getting nice and green tips forsure!!

saweet thread Chelsey.. thanks for the link... :)

we need to start our own though... ;)

How come mine don't have much polyp extention (this includes the danae too)? I have 2 kinds of Superman, 2 kinds of rainbow, blueberry, orange & a green polyp. The "real" Superman looks the best.

mmm...monti

Bigdadzoa, the last one looks more like a spongodes or a confusa. Capitata has more pronounced corallites.

And if we want to get picky the orange w/ green base one is a samarensis not digitata.
I know because I used to have a big colony of one right by my red digi and the red digi was always growing over the samarensis and killing it off. I had to regularly chip away the red digi with a screwdriver to create a border between the two.

Its not that rare of a monti, but seems to regaining popularity lately.

Pufferpunk, poor polyp extension could be due to any number of factors. Too high of flow, too high or low light, not dosing enough calc/alk, nippy fish, too many nutrients, inverts bothering it, etc, etc.

Narrow these down and you might be able to figure out the solution.
