Dino and Cyano

I started getting GHA, I made the mistake to use AF probiotic in 2 - 25g water changes, instead of just reg AF reef salt. The probiotic salt has aminos and vitamins in the salt, therefore it was just feeding GHA more. I did 2 more 25g water changes with the reef salt last Thursday and Saturday. Will be doing another one today, but the GHA has started to fade away. When I get back to ULN I will start on the probiotic salt again. Just will be dosing in half quantities on the Aminos, V, B, E.
Im currently only using the reef salt until my tank gets stable again and the cyano and dino is gone. after that im planing on doing 1/3 of A,V,B,E and doing every second WC with probiotic / reef salt.

Good idea. Also 2 days ago I switched from 2 hydra 52 HD's to a 48" 8 x 54w ATI dimmable fixture.

I feel your pain. I had dinos and cyno also. The cyno I wiped with h202. Then I was left with dinos. It takes time and patience but this method did work for me.

Daily removal, if sand is affected remove then sand. Scrub the rocks and remove the junk as your scrubbing. Change filter socks every 2 days. I added 3 doses of Dr tims live bacteria once every 2 weeks after a deep clean and water change. Once dinos slow down I added 5k pods. Same thing 2 weeks later. I stopped dosing any kind of ammino acids and nitrates. I noticed this was a huge dino booster. I only feed live foods and rinsed frozen and live plankton which fed my pods, corals and kept nuisance algea down. Also with the frequency of water changes I stopped dosing alk and cal.

I bought from algeabarn.com
Pellets are very high in nutrients, I would keep them down or only feed one at a time and kill pumps so nothing lands on the bed or rocks.
Keep gfo and carbon fresh. This also helps.
