Dino X. Good or bad idea?

My lights are at 60% blue and 8% white right now pretty much. I only did a big water change recently because I had to to get the reef flux fluconazole out after not having done a water change in 3 weeks. I could get a fish but I'm scared of just putting one in since I'm seeing snails die and dont even know if my lfs properly quarantines their livestock. Was hoping to try and quarantine some on my own. Also if I get a iv sterilizer, how often would I run it?

Your nassarius died because they require a mature tank for their food source, and they starved in your new system. I do not know much about UV. Can't help you there.

So am I best to just add more aquavitro seed and maybe other diverse bacteria sources and wait it out before adding fish?

Stop adding so many things unless you know what impact they will have on your tank. After seeing the pics not thinking it’s dinos. Filtration is great but if you are sitting at zero nutrients you will likely have too clean of water and cause more issues. I would stop with chemi-pure and matrix

I had absolutely no filtration in my tank for 3 weeks other than a piece of filter floss. The chemipure and matrix were only added in a few days ago after doing the large water change to help clean out the fluconazole treatment in my tank

Adding bacteria sources are fine. But imo adding fish is going to help the "uglies" by adding some nitrate and phosphate.

What about a watchman goby? Would that be ok as I'd wanna introduce one of those and a pistol before I add clowns

Also I'm ok keeping my filtration in now since I just added it after 3 weeks of no filtration other than filter floss to help filter out the reef flux? Should I install my skimmer or leave it out for now?

Ok so no skimmer. But I should be good using the chemipure and matrix though since my water set unfiltered for almost a month and still probably hasn't totally rid itself of the fluconazole I added

This is my experience with dino x15 November 2017 siporax added
Cheato added 2017 November
Miracle mud 1 November

Dinos treatment

Removed siporax miracle and cheato ,lights of for 6days main tank and sump treating with Dino x every second day 21ml, 7th day 4doses in dinos look gone lights back on blues only 5 hours 3 percent to 50 percent back to 3 percent light cycle 5 hr period ,day 7 filtered 15 gallon from the tank through filter sock then returned the same water back to the tank also put in a spare skimmer I have as a back up to run alongside my apf 600 deltec . Day 8 filtered another 15 gallon of water through filter sock and returned water to tank keeping light cycle as above for another 6 days.
Day 13 7 doses in of Dino x ,introduced white light back into light cycle today white is running at 1% to 3% over 5hr period along with blues at 3% to 50% over same time period will ramp white up over the next few days , Day 14 put 1ltr of rowacarbon in reactor .
If all continues well then I will reintroduce the mm mud and siporax and rowaphos reactor back in over the next few days .

Introduced miracle mud cheato back into the sump also rinsed it with ro water before hand also put siporax back in and turned on rowaphos reactor to, also put sump light back on today .

Over the course of the treatment there were no ill effects of the treatment with regards to fish corals or inverts they are all fine the anemone is the only thing that shrunk a little bit.

Fingers crossed here's hoping all stays fine looking good time will tell.

Started dosing nopox 8 ml for 100 gallon slightly under recommended dosage just to start of with.

The tank is approximately 8 years old dinos was a problem about 5years down the line .

Good to know. I'm thinking dino x would not be a good idea for my tank then as it's only 2 months old and seems like it might just be regular ugly phase

I would suggest let it run its course and let the good bacteria build to take care of the ugly phase the tank is still really young and still cycling from what I have read .
Stick with it.
