Dinos

You might look for this small balls (most pictures are not dinos):

Yes I seen those and knew they were dinos. But I also saw some that were smaller clusters like this. Was just looking to see if anyone could identify any of them

I blacked out for 3 days and lost one of my SPS sticks. I hope you fare better. Good luck, dino is so frustrating.
Yes I did same with main tank and lost about 5 sps and all my fish and hermits and snails. Blenny lived only because I pulled him out. Ty and yes it is

Might I add raising nutrients? Should work for any genus, correct?

There aren't any dinos in the higher magnification pictures Jilly. I agree the 40x picture appears to be amphidinium. This is unfortunately not an easy one to get rid of. Doesn't respond to UV at all. Dosing silicates to cause a competing diatom bloom and H2O2 dosing (info is in the Facebook group you joined earlier tonight) are the best bets. Be prepared to be patient. Getting rid of amphidinium is rarely a quick task. The good news is they are not toxic and corals and inverts rarely show any signs of distress from them.
Is the first 40x pic not dinos?

Great. I just bought uv light. I saw a little difference after 2 days but nothing major, corals looked alot better

Yes, keeping nutrients detectable is definitely the foundation for treating any of the strains.

That said there are rare occasions when dinos occur in the presence of high nutrient levels. Usually when this happens, usually there will be a substantial imbalance between NO3 and PO4 (one much higher than the other).

Yes mam! I thought the later 40x pictures were duplicates of that one....my bad. That's the picture that looks like amphidinium.

It's certainly not going to hurt anything and since we don't have definitive pictures that rule out a second strain (yep it happens....I actually had ostreopsis, coolia and amphidinium all at the same time) it's not a bad idea to keep running it for now.
