Like ^ said, true union ball valves, I got everything at Lowes, the ball valves r heavy duty enough and u can tighten the packings in them as they get older and loosen up, I got the check valve from Bulk Reef Supply and it also has unions at both ends so I can remove it and clean it

This is my 1st saltwater tank build, the plumbing was easy, the rest is going to be a steep learning curve, I wanted to keep it neat and simple, whether or not I add to it later down the road is to be determined, I am by no means an expert on saltwater tanks, but if you need help with the plumbing I'm here

I've got a similar setup (if not identical) in my tank, and found that I needed to use -- I believe it was Schedule 80 bulkheads to replace the originals. If your bulkheads ... and the gaskets! ... are in good condition, that may not affect you.
