Nice reef, Dixie!! Thanks for sharing!!

Looking good Dixie!

looking good. what filtration do you have on the tank?

Since it is a small tank, it does not necessarily need a filter. I have about 12-14lbs of live rock, the natural bacteria in the tank acts as the "filter". I do weekly water changes of about 20%. I'm planning on getting some chaeto to help keep my nitrates down.

ok I need something to sift and clean up my sand. I have 5 nass snails and they don't do much. I don't want a sand sifting star though. Is there another option?

Probably a sleeper goby. In such a small tank you may have a dust problem with their sifting however.

That's the only other helper I can think of at the moment.

You might consider sifting your sand during water changes.

I have a Brown Blotch Snail in my 10g and it helps stir quite a bit. Also I would suggest starting a colony of Mini-Stars, Bristle Worms (NOT fire worms), and "Mama-Mia" worms.
Here is a link to where I got them from.
: : : : Indo-Pacific Sea Farms : : : :
They are probably as good as it gets when it comes to creating an Eco-System in your tank. I would also suggest watching their youtube series called "Nano Lagoon". Great looking tank so far!

This is awesome. Im doing a 10g for my students at school, im going to def end up with a setup similar, HOPEFULLY! Thanks for sharing
