I need to do some harvesting. Usually I just throw the frags in the backyard. It's the easiest way to get rid of them I can't figure out that why there is one acropora that still stays brown. All the other corals has colors.

Today was a water change day. I also added new sand on the rough gravel. I took some pictures above the tank, because usually nobody look inside from there.

That's a special kind of coral. I'll might have to glue it on the rock to prevent it to run around

I bought new toys. I'm planning to rip down the closed loop and add gyres instead. Those are FX250 model and I think that's enough for my little tank. I add them opposite side of the tank, so they can control the flow patterns efectly. Let's se what that gyre controller can do.

This is how I installed it at the end. They are running 50% and 60%. That's more that enough flow. If they run on full power the noise is terrible. That sucks

Thanks. I have some problems with silicat levels, but that's my own fault. That causes some brown algae problems. I don't use RO anymore. I'm taking the water on the tap and run it trough the filters. I have active carbon filter and normal cotton filter (not sure is that a correct term). If I'm starting to use Ro/DI, I'm sure that problem will go away.

I run the gyres on random mode. It started a huge detritus storm inside the tank. Flow is set between 10-100% prosent

What a great looking tank. I love the dimensions. Sounds like you are very happy with the Hydra 52s. I have them as well and they really pack some punch. What level of intensity did you settle on with the Hydras? It appears you have good light penetration with your deep tank and wondering what intensity your four hydras need to be set at to achieve those results.

Question for you on your Cyano:
Have you ever considered using something like Chemiclean for your Cyano? It seems that it does the job in removing it from what I have read here on R2R. I know people do not like to throw chemicals in their tank for fear of throwing off the delicate balance. However, I see you have been dealing with Cyano long-term and I have in my tank as well. I am thinking of giving it a try. I actually ordered some chemiclean but I’m not sure I want to use it. Curious what your thoughts are on this?

Picture shows the intensity. I lost one hydra today. It was the power supply that break down. I have to find a new one fast as possible. I don't have a cyano anymore. It's brown algae on the sand and rocks. I don't know the english name for it.
