Yes, definitely. He is a hair algae champion. Also does a decent job of sifting the sand. He hid quite a lot for the first 7-10 days but now he is out all the time.

Beside eating bit and pieces of algae on rocks and sifting the sand, mine also eats bits of flakes, and chopped black worms. Didn't see him actively hunting for pods.
