When you see people selling common corals for ridiculous prices on Facebook group or forums, do you call them out on it? Is it rude to do so? If you do call them out, do you do it privately or public comment??

Imo, If someone is willing to pay the price for it, it's worth that much to them. How much it's worth to them is irrelevant to how much it's worth to you and if you are not the buyer at that price, the seller is not interested in your opinion of what you think it's worth.

I will sometimes correct wrongly listed item, color out of whack or misleading size. Somebody selling a rainbow as a sunburst will get a comment from me.

I mean, I don’t want to make this an economics debate, but I wholly disagree, unleashed capitalism objectively doesn’t work. That said, we all have to live and work within the system we live and work, so I’m not going to fault someone for using it to make a living.

I will just move on in life. If it’s something I want I might open up and says it’s too high but that is for me personally and is the only time I’ll comment

Everything has a price ..
the price I’m willing to pay might not be as high as what’s being asked .
Years ago . Yes I would call them out on the high gouging .
but now it’s easier and less stressful to ignore it and move forward.
Life is too short to be negative or pointing at someone else .
Worry about what’s in my own back yard before commenting about what’s on the other side of the fence .

I think it is rude to comment on someones price. It is worth what someone is willing to pay and who am I or you to decide they are overpriced.

I want to call them out to prevent newcomers from being taken advantage of. And if enough people complain, won't the price come down to make the hobby more affordable for everyone?

especially after all this covid stuff .
seams everything had got more expensive to compensate for losses .

If enough people don't buy or buy from someone else the price will come down.... I can go into a corvette dealer and complain all day long the price is too high but if I don't actually have the means and want to buy it will not effect the market.
