Do you have a lot of sand because you have a lot of tanks? break down tanks and build new ones? I have 2 tanks and never dumped any sand

I don't have alot of it.
When I take tanks down for one reason or another, I don't re-use sand.
It's a pain to clean and the new sand is relatively cheap.

No sand pile. I do have a pile of carbon and gfo. It gets washed down to the back 40 when we have a gully washer.

I have a good sized lot, much of which is overrun with very annoying blackberry bushes. I just throw it out into the bushes and hope the nastiness in the sand will kill them...but of course it never does. Pretty sure they would survive a Mt Rainier eruption at this point.

you can put it back in your tank for some trace nutrients
