Do you name your fish or inverts?

Orange spotted goby- gobes
Scarlet skunk cleaner- Mike
Still looking for names for my emrald crab and 2 ocellaris clowns

I’ve learned not to name them until after 90 days. Something my LFS told me. I think giving them a name makes it a little tougher to lose one. I have 2 clowns named Fred and Wilma and my cleaner shrimp named Louigi. My flame that we lost a few weeks ago was named Squirt.

I don’t name my fish/inverts but my wife does.
Who would have thought it but every single fish or invert I’ve ever bought is a girl....according to her [emoji1]

We only ever named two fish in our FW tanks - an Angel we called Aunty and a Blue Ram named Saddam (because he was a bully).

Since moving to SW a year ago however all fish and one invert have names. Tom and Nicole the Occ Clowns (since the males are smaller than the females - I am Australian, you should be able to figure that reference out). Crazy the Hermit Crab (my wife named him, no idea why). Carol the Yellow Tang (since she was bought with a Christmas gift voucher). Prince the Orchid Dottyback. Elton the Sixline Wrasse. Benny the Blennie. Annie the Fire Goby (originally one of two, Annie and Dave). I am 50, again that should help you with the references.
