Some of the names I've given to fish and critters over the years... ehhh not very PC.

I used to have a 3-stripe damsel named A**h*le. Venture a guess as to how he got that name?

Cracker - diamond watchman goby

Betty - lawnmower blenny

Nemo - occelarus clown

Jerk! - an elusive emerald crab that got VERY big and started eating everything he could catch. I was so desperate to catch him. I spent months "hunting" him. I finally managed to stab him with a dinner fork and sent him down the garbage disposal. ..... Jerk!

Humphrey - gigantic turbo snail that unfortunately committed suicide by causing a rock avalanche, which squished him.

Slash - snowflake eel

Ole Blue - niger trigger

Flamer - flame angel

Achmed - Koran angel

Assorted tanks over the years.

Our fish don’t all have names at least not fit for a family forum. My wife’s maroon clown has one of the naughty names that only I call him for his viscous defense not only of his anemone but the entire tank when my hand must take a dip. Never has he chased another tank mate from near his anemone but my hand 4 feet away sends him into a tizzy.

I usually let my kids name the fish, but I have a diamond goby that went carpet surfing twice and then managed to jump into the hang on back filter after every square inch of the QT was covered, so I named him Felix (Baumgartner)!

I nammed my two clownfish. The female is nammed Amelia Bedford Furthington Chesterhill, and the male is nammed James Fielding Wellingstonworth.
I haven't come up with names for my other two fish yet ;)
 
My godmother named my beat up yellow tang rags, he beat the hell out of my purple tang, he beat up a lot of fish over the years, until one day. Now the purple tang is the Punisher. You know where that going. These are the only two fish with names in 30 years.
 
My girlfriend with the help of my grandma named all of my inhabitants.

Six line - Jade - her tail has a deep green color
Splendid dottyback - Mack - when she first saw him she said he looked like a macaroni noodle
Yellow watchman goby - Black Eyes - when hes posted up in the sand gaurding his pistol shrimpS, his eyes are all you can see
Pistol shrimp #1 - 9mm - type of pistol
Pistol shrimp #2 - 5-7 - " "
Pom pom crab - oh lord - when my grandma first saw him that was her response
Nassarius snails - Rodneys - after rodney mullen... best skateboarder ever
Hermits - hermes -

Previous fish names we have had.. peach, clarkii, fin, sunny...

Naming the fishies is one of her favorite things in life ;Muted
