Do you name your fish?

If so list the names so we can laugh! HAHA! :D

Some of mine have names ...

Naso = Big Boy and he came named from another family with kids

Pipefish = Stick and my brother named him

Female Bellus = Yamaha and my hubby named her that as she has Yamaha colors.

Labouti Wrasse - Bob as he bobs his head out of the water looking for food

Power Blue Tank: Einstien
Skunk Shrimp: Gary - Becuase my neighbor Gary bought him for our tank.

That the only things that have names as of now in our tank

We did have a Pink/Blue Goby named Sanderson becuase he was always building mounds in the tank-playing in the sand

My Blotchy = Ugly ( as per my daughter )

When i dont name them, they die.
El Groupito - school of green chromis
Fuego - Flameangel
Mucho and Macho - pair of true percs

Yellow Coris Wrasse = Haus Diesel, he eats so much, he looks like a wine barrel.

After eating, he litterly just goes and lays down, like madden after thanksgiving dinner.

NO, everytime I do they die. If I don't they live long and healthy lives. lol

We name just about all of ours. I won't list them all but we have Tex, our Lubbock's wrasse; Zippo, our clown goby who "zips" around the tank; Elvis, our blue flasher wrasse; Digger, our 15" long engineer goby who spends his day digging through the sand; Sushi, our hi fin goby and Adam and Eve, our mated pair of naked clowns:)

I have always thought that naming the fish was bad luck. My 4 year old grandson named a goby Fred. I don't know where that came from but every time he was here he would run to that tank and look for Fred. Unfortunately, Fred choked on a chicken bone and is now in the big reef in the sky.

We have starfish that are named Forrest Gump, Big Red, Bot, etc. I don't know what it is about starfish but we've got every starfish that we ever got with the exception of a couple of sand sifting stars.

Not many of them, but have had a Shakes the Clown, WSM female (had her for 12 years-lost her in the move...), a Jaws (female Cinnamon clown), PT (Petie-purple tang), YT (Whitey-Yellow Tang), Sonny and Cher (pair of percula's), and proably a few others here and there.

i never named mine because they already have names, first and last
that and im not creative enough to make up names

Naming Fish? How about EVERYTHING!

Bad luck or not, almost everything has a name in my tank.

Krusty and Bob: Paired Tomato Clowns
Speedy: Turbo Snail
Twinkle: White Sand Star
Henry: 4 Stripped Damsel (gone back to the LFS because he was too agressive, but we visit him on the weekend to say Hi)
Darth Maul: Scarlett Hermit Crab that (so far) has a black and red shell.
Harry: Sand Anemone

And that's my Tank Clan!

I also have found that when I do not name a fish, it is bad luck. I have a pair of true percs who seem destined to never truly work out so I named him Samson and her Delilah. I also have a six line wrasse that thinks it runs the whole tank so I named it Saul, which I felt appropriate because this fish seems to believe he is entitled to rule the tank though he will not always.

i don't (except for one), but my daughter does.

i call my flame angel firefly, as he's always twitting here and there like a firely, plus he's a flame angel.

my b&w clowns are "black and white fishies"
blenny_ = Benny
orange diamond spot goby = spot
bangaii cards = black and white fishes (yes, also)
my new harlequin shrimp = Shrimpie-Shrimpie
flame angel = orange and black fishie

(hey, she's about to turn 4, she's allowed :D )

sailfin tang Mike after mike the tiger
scopas tang Mr Tang
orange and white osc pair Burt and Liz
We had a blenny named bubba

I like to name mine... Almost for humorous value.

My clown is named Charles.
Powder blue is named Big Blue.
Cleaner shrimp is named Pierre.

I like to introduce the cleaner shrimp in a french voice too.
