Do you name your fish?

Just curious if everyone names their fish? Do you name all of them or just the special ones? How many is too many to name? What’s your silliest fish name?

Wife names them. The rules are simple. Each fish gets a name however if it’s a schooling fish then they all get the same name. She asked me tonight if corals needed names too....

I do! I’ve got a helfrichi firefish named Pish, a white tail tang named Wu Tang, and a cleaner shrimp named Skrimp Pickens.

Yes. I never did with my previous tanks but now I have kids so yes, they’re all named. The bigger inverts too (but not the snails or hermits).

My wife named my vlamingi "Frank" and my orange shoulder is "sunny" shes named the others but I dont pay too much attention. But for some reason those 2 have stuff I with me for the last few years lol

Some get named some don't...seems less get named now as the kids get older as wife and kids did most of the naming.

Had a male betta in a water pitcher for nearly a decade. His name was Ceviche.

Used to have a black volitan Lionfish named Paula, after an old girlfriend of mine. Beautiful, and poisonous.

None of my current fish are named, but a good friend has a longhorn cowfish that was about a half inch long when he got it, named it emoji.

i Have 20+ fish- they all have names. I won’t list then all bc they aren’t very clever but
Dog face puffer is Snoopy
Transitioning Emp Angel is Algernon
Hippo tang is Dory because... kids. We also have a Nemo.

My clownfish pair are named Leonard and Nemoy. Trooper for my Bellus Angelfish. Banana for my Yellow Coris Wrasse. Starry Blenny already has a cool name and my Flasher Wrasse is nameless currently.
