Do you name your fish?

This is precisely why after my blue chromis, Elvis, died, his replacement was named Voldemort.

Meanwhile, my clowns are named Bruce and Kaitlyn, 'cuz all clowns are born male, amirite?

My kids name everything in the tank I lose track or them. I always remember the pistol shrimp and goby pair are marv and harry after the robbers from home alone.

My Melanaurus Wrasse is named Mel too. Go figure. So Mel's legacy lives on.

My wife named our Flame Hawkfish Henry after the little chick in the Foghorn Leghorn cartoon that thought he was a chicken hawk.

Just curious if everyone names their fish? Do you name all of them or just the special ones? How many is too many to name? What’s your silliest fish name?

We named them primarily for my granddaughter, they are clownfish, obviously the orange one is Nemo, and the Frostbite is frosty, don’t know if we will continue.

Mine are all being named after characters from the Final Fantasy video game series.

Clowns: Cecil and Rosa
Midas Blenny: Tidus
Purple Firefish: Red XIII
Fighting Conch: Zidane

My mom came to visit and she named my fish. I forget all of their names except the six line wrasse. His name is Six finger Louie

The hubby names my fish then the kids disregard what he says and make their own names. But his name's are things like piggy fish, big 'spit', fancy pants, bully fish, big yellow etc. The kids are names from moves or what things remind them of. Some of the other stuff gets named but o think it's more because they need a way to refer to things and find it more fun than the auctual names. For instance my haddoni carpet is named floam and the big bubble coral is grapes for example.
