If I ever run for politics it would be for one goal..... ELIMINATE daylight savings! I don't understand why we are still conforming to this. To answer your question, my lights are connected to a smart outlet and it adjusts for daylight savings.

My lights automatically change time on both my reef and planted tanks.

I don't know anyone who likes the clock moving around by one hour leaps and lags.

I do not submit my tank to this kind of torture. It seems bad enough that the tanks inhabitants live under artificial light with only a little natural light creeping in and almost no visible-natural lunar cycle.

I am hopeful that one day our clocks will be adjusted to match the natural rotation of the earth and that 0600 will be always reflect sunrise across the different time zones so that our "daylight" hours match what is happening in the heavens.

I’m not smart enough to use my Apex, and I am too lazy to plug in the lights to a timer, so I have been turning them on/off manually

Nope, my fish and corals cannot tell time. My lights and auto feeders stay the same and fish and corals lose no sleep over it.
