Always glad to see another Hair Algae conquerer step up and win :)! Your tanks looking very good!
Everyone makes it sound like its the end of the hobby. It bout made me quit. Litterally i was growing grass and it got so frustrating.

For having the case of L.A.R.S. for the last couple weeks. Its looking good. Still looking for more colors besides green

Looks really good Dura, the bubble tip anenome and hammer look really great! And you've also got the clown I wanted years ago, an almost all black. I have the same bronze mushroom you have in the front too, I only have one though lol. I'm waiting for a layoff (which is a good thing) from a local refinery and then I'll work on getting some decent pics on here hopefully of my tank.
I did pick up a red goniopora recently (tempermental little jerks) and a really nice purple gorgonian that's doing excellent.

I agree nuisance algae dissuades a lot of people from going further into the hobby sometimes and it can be very frustrating but this isn't an "instant" type of hobby lol, you're dealing with life. I'm dealing with the remnants of what I think is probably either dino or diatoms from the previous owner who I'm pretty sure chose to use tap water and ran the tank for close to a year I believe. I tried the natural method of chaeto but didn't have everything for a reactor and the progress was happening but extremely slow. Now I'm running PORA PhosLock and some HydroCarbon to beat it, which I will. That also helped me to eliminate my protein skimmer which was pointless with the phos remover and carbon running in tandem.

It's still a rewarding hobby in the satisfaction of being able to see things progress and to have what most people are afraid to even venture into lol.

Added a few more friends to the mixed reef. Got some hair algae growing in places. Working on raising my kh, cal, and temp to promote faster growth. I have been L.A.R.S.ing lately and javent teated my water in 3 weeks.

Looks good Dura, I like the hammers too! I have some Acropora, Favias and Acans on the way so my 36 should be filling up soon over the next several months :). Thinking about a hammer after seeing your but have to find one I like.

Digital log of my tank. So like showing it. I notice one of my corals was missing. I found it face down in the sand. Hope it makes a come back from eating sand for hours.
