Hi,

So I’m setting up my 120 to be on Triton method. I ordered a 4 part doser, but had thought I would just use the Triton core 7 plastic bottles as my container (the way I saw on YouTube), but now I guess they have milk carton containers. What do you all use to hold the liquids? I saw expensive containers at BRS, but there has to be a cheaper method. Any links or advice appreciated. Also, what do you use to attach tube to top of containers to insert the tube?

Thanks.

Right now I am just using the milk cartons...I plan to buy 2 more Fritz Zyme 9 bottles to use as dosing containers. (I already have 2 old ones I saved)
These are only $9 each at my LFS and you can dump the beneficial bacteria into your tank.
Make sure you use something instead of leaving the liquids in the milk containers as certain batch leaks....like the one I got.
You can also use Quart mason jars if you have the room....or Voss water bottles if you can find them.

I use some tupperware type bottles that I had sitting around and an empty bottle that once held live phytoplankton. I may switch to all phytoplankton bottles since they take up less space and I don't dose that much. Anything food-safe should be fine.

Anything that will hold the liquids and fits where you need it to. Ideally clear/translucent so you can see the fluid level.

I found some coral box containers at my LFS that fit perfectly where I need them.

+1 the VOSS water bottles. Look good, really cheap and easy to modify or paint as well. I believe you can find them on Amazon relatively easy.

I have seen a video about those. I saw them at a sheetz (gas station) and thought I should get those, but then said no the Triton comes in bottles, and didn’t. I will try to find the Voss bottles.

I believe you can still get the core7 (triton method) in the bottles but its pelleted and you have to mix each part with 9L of RODI.
But who knows they might come in milk jugs now...

I went looking for VOSS water bottles locally and couldn't find them anywhere. I ended up buying 4 'Smart Water' containers and turned them into dosing containers. Work great and very low profile

How big do you need? I went with 3 pack of SodaStream bottles for dosing ATI Essentials. They hold a liter so gets me about 20 days ish.

+2 Vos water bottles is what I use. I did a test with Nopox to see if they would melt. They didn’t. I do use the BRS acrylic rods and 1/4” bulkheads.

I will be using these 1 liter containers ($4.24 each) from U.S. Plastics for dosing ATI Essentials.

Added the bulkhead fittings from BRS (with acrylic tubing).

I also had a custom acrylic bracket made to hold them. Still waiting on the bracket.

That will look sharp when it's all done!

i went to walmart and bought some appropriately sized rubbermaid containers and drilled holes in the lids. cheap, clean and easy on the eyes.

what does the other side of that acrylic fitting look like? I'm looking to use the same fittings but do not know what to get.
Thanks
